Nia has almost 20 years’ experience as a qualified youth worker, having worked within Careers Wales for a number of years on various schemes with employers, educational establishments and children of all ages in a supportive role and delivering motivational workshops. She recently worked for a charity leading several projects supporting vulnerable, marginalised children and families throughout Anglesey and Gwynedd.
Nia was a part of an all Wales scheme for Oxfam Cymru on the Sustainable Livelihoods Project and has developed and delivered several training packages to staff within various organisations including, housing, education and the Department for Work and Pensions.
Nia helped develop and run a project funded by Children in Need and The National Lottery, which successfully supported children to find an educational package that met their needs and to remain within the responsibility of the Local Education Authority.
Nia also volunteered for the NSPCC within the school services and is a fluent English and Welsh speaker.
